Polishing the Jagged Ones

Send them all out to sea then,
Send them all out to the deep,
watch the currents fold and bend them,
they’ll count miles In their sleep.
Return to the shore a different person,
Eyes encrusted with salt and dirt,
Polished by the waters folding curtain,
Over and over,
And over once more.
